WELCOME TO VIVA ELENA LA GITANA

Coming from a very artistic & musical family, Elena has always had a strong love for the arts.  Raised by her parents in Florida with their Spanish and Cuban roots, as a child she always watched her parents dance, knowing then that 'one day' that's what she wanted to do given the opportunity.

After getting married and raising two children, she found herself with more time to think about what she's always wanted to do but was not able to due to family responsibilities.  It was then that she recalled how much she loved to dance and perform as a child and always wanted to learn the art of Flamenco, and so her search began to find a class!  Given her natural feel for music and ability to dance along with her Spanish roots, it allowed her to learn Flamenco in a very short time taking multiple classes weekly and workshops with renowned dancers from Spain such as Angel Rojas from Madrid, Esther Velez from Sevilla, Rocio Bazan, and La Macarena from Jerez, SPAIN.

Within a short period of time she began a long term show with a professional guitarist at a prestigious Marriott Resort in Orlando Florida performing once a week for over 17 months!  Elena has also performed at local Heritage Festivals, Corporate Events,  the historical Bok Towers, and at Formal Banquets, Wedding Receptions, as well as Charity Events.  Elena performs more recently solo with musical accompaniment.  Elena performs many styles of Flamenco, Gypsy-Flamenco, Guajiras/Alegrias/Rumba, as well as infusing her creative touch 'flamenco style' to Classical music, Boleros, Jazz and Contemporary music.

She found her true passion and continues taking workshops to continue growing and improving her skills and dreams.  As quoted by Elena;
